God designed humanity for the purpose of being in a relationship with Him, to share in His perfect love. But love wouldn’t be love if He forced us, which is why He has given humankind a choice to choose Him or to go our own way.

Since the beginning, though, humans have rebelled and turned away from Him. We have all sinned (done something wrong and against God’s design) which is why you see so much brokenness and destruction in the world. The bad news is there is no number of good deeds you can do to get in right-standing with God; there has to be justice for the wrong you have done. We are all in need of His saving grace.

THE GOOD NEWS is that God took the penalty you deserve by sending His Son, Jesus, who lived a sinless life in your place and was sacrificed for your sake. This is all because He longs to have a relationship with you. The only thing required of you is to believe (trust) that Jesus paid the price for you to be in heaven with God when you die! Don’t trust in your good deeds— only trust in Jesus. Those who don’t believe will not spend eternity in heaven but will be separated from Him in the lake of fire (hell).

John 3:16 and 18 say, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him will never perish but have everlasting life…He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
